Most Effective Workout Time
Ray,
I am in the process of starting to work out on a regular basis and have read conflicting reports. I want to focus on bodyweight exercises and cardio right now before I get into weights. I am very interested in “commando” workouts and workouts that are done in the military. My primary purpose is to get lean, don’t really want to get bulky, just defined. When is the best time to do this type of workout? The problem that I am having is the only time that I have to workout is at night once my 16 month old triplets have gone to bed. That is usually around 8-9 pm. I’m afraid I’m not maximizing the fat-burning potential that I have. Can you offer any suggestions? I’ve tried to work out in the mornings, but find that it is easier to pull the covers up than to pull myself out of bed. I guess that is something I’m just going to have to overcome and it boils down to how bad I want to burn the fat off and how much I really want this.
Any suggestions that you can offer as to timing of workouts, etc. would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Brando
Hey Brando,
I go over this in my "Fat To Fit" book but the fact of the matter is that the best time to workout is the time when you can get it done. I've seen everything from 4AM to 11PM and everything inbetween. The differance that timing makes to fat burning is not nearly as huge as not getting it done at all. I work when I want to work out and when I enjoy working out. I dont care if morning workouts increase fat burning by 2%. I dont want to wake up that early....however at around 12:00 noon....I'm fired up....so thats when I go. This is for life, so you have to enjoy it. Pick your time and go.

What can I say? WOW!
We at AtoZ Fitness are backing
The Fat To Fit Program fully, no hesitation
what-so-ever. I like it. I like the kick-butt, no bs approach, nothing wrapped in cotton or pink fluff,
just hard iron and facts. It's a little like, what can I say, like having Jillian from the Biggest Loser, only a little less pushy,
right there with you.
